Hartford’s engineered bearings are developed using latest-generation SolidWorks CAD software. Our engineered bearings often feature application-specific enhancements such as a proprietary edge designs, very tight dimensional tolerances, or surface treatments. Our precision engineered bearings can be developed for specific capabilities, such as the ability to pivot during operation. Hartford design protocols allow for the direct production of engineered bearings, with the highest levels of repeatability.

Custom Engineered Bearings and Bearing Assemblies – Special requirements concerning dimensions, materials, lubricants, coatings, tolerances, and heat stabilization can be met. Hartford offers the imporatnt strategic advantage of shorter lead times for custom engineered bearings thanks to its unique two-continent manufacturing capabilities.

Cage Bearings – For high speed and sliding applications, Hartford manufactures cage bearings or bearing retainers. These engineered bearings allow rotary and linear bearings to separate and maintain a specified distance between rolling elements. Our custom cage bearings are manufactured from materials selected to meet your requirements for service life, corrosion resistance and other factors.

Needle Bearings – These engineered bearings incorporate needle elements rather than balls. They are well suited for radial loads that require a low profile. In addition to standard needle bearing designs, custom needle bearings are also manufactured in engineered bearing configurations.

Drawn Cup Needle Bearings – Hartford drawn cup needle bearings feature a low profile design that requires less space than competitive products, and provides significant load carrying capacity.

Thrust Bearings – These engineered bearings are designed for pure thrust loads. These Hartford bearings are engineered as single direction thrust or double direction thrust bearings. A variety of thrust bearing sizes and specifications are available to meet a wide range of application needs.

Plastic Bearings – Hartford produces plastic engineered bearings as a lightweight, non-magnetic alternative to bronze, steel, and stainless steel bearings. Our plastic bearings are crafted from molded engineered polymer for the highest reliability.
